  • Transparent water for my Quake map

How do I get transparent water for the Quake map I'm currently working on?

I found this article via google, it suggests to use these tools. Is that up-to-date and the way to go? Or should I use anything else instead?

I think you can VISpatch it when you finish...

Just use -transwater as parameter for qbsp

Also, transparent water is not default (like in TxQBSP), but can be enabled via the "-transwater" option. Beware of the performance hit in some maps.
The so called vis-patch is only needed for already compiled maps that were not originally compiled to be used with transparent water..
