RE DirectQ ver of GLPro.
I was into GFX programming when GL was in its prime and Direct3D first came out. I was all for OpenGL to win and was angry at MS for trying to push another format down our throats. It meant more work for developers, etc.. and D3D at the time was just SHIT.
Today though, 10 years later, DirectX is really where its at.
Windows7 is such a great platform. Pair it up with DirectX and you have a winning combo.
I still just want a version of DirectQ that I don't have to bandaid though to play DM. The last version fixed the eyes but broke the glows.

Magnus, there is a DirectProQuake. I think I obtained it via downloading one of the ProQuake versions and it had GL/Direct versions both.... I'm trying it out today.Want to get into playing Quake again? Click here for the Multiplayer-Startup kit! laissez bon temps rouler!

I have no idea if that's possible or not, but perhaps something similar could be included in a future proquake server release.
I'll add this to the to-do list.

Tremor, I have no idea how you forgot this whole conversation when I brought it up on the server..
The recovery rate is fine.
The initial detect rate is still too sensitive.
It's very obvious in 2v2 games where you really use spam to convey teamwork strategies.

If a team wants to reduce its own bandwidth by discussing strategy they only hurt themselves. Gagging mm2 is absurd.
What I would like to see is muting of mm1 during a match by the blowhards
who think the server is a fkn chat server! It lags everyone and is a huge distraction by spectators who are not even interested in the match.
kick the spectators who mm1 and gag them for mm2 not the players.WARNING
May be too intense for some viewers.
