2012 Quakepc Server Viewer (QSV)- (Quake [1&2]Server Browser)-Add Your Own Servers!

I finished up on my Quake/Quake 2 Browser. I want to make this easy as possible for anyone to use. One good thing I like about it when you find a server to play on and click it. You WONT lose your place in the app which stays open. This Browser will tell you these things about each player and/or server.

Now not only can you add MORE Servers for Quake 1 / Quake 2. You can
also (Please do!) share your update via Quakepc Server Browser Update File.
I'd really appreciate I so I may share with the rest of the world. Just message me with the file's link.

Also I allow the fact you may add your OWN Server(s) too. ie: Home,Work etc ..I made this with EVERYONE in mind. I generally would like to see
everyone puts their servers here. See, most browsers use just one main server or group of. With this browser- it does not matter whom or where.

I finished up on my Quake/Quake 2 Browser.

Seems this is a rip off of QVIEW as when i start it i get a pop up error that says "QView" in the title of the popup with an invalid path to an old registry entry when i had QView installed.

..I made this with EVERYONE in mind.

Hmm nothing like hex editing binaries!

This is the original version, all it seems you did was change the name.


We should probably delete this download link as the software is copyrighted.

I see what you guys mean. I used the QVW extension yes. I made this over a period of a year. So, I think I took (Copied) some of the dialogs. I used it cause starting my own extention caused MANY problems. I made it as easy as I could.
If I wanted to HIDE -then I would added icons, Theme and so on.
Just as long as it works for you guys is all that matters!

The reason why the OTHER icons appeared is that the program has SAME file associations. (You should be MUCH smarter than to overlook that!)

I used a familiar interface and TRIEd to get some of the features to work. Its really my 3rd beta. I used ASM,2008 VB 2008. Does anyone want to help me here that can Help me patch this. I want to enter a few other methods that I cant figure to get servers from sites like here:
Quake 2 Server List | Search Q2 Stats, Rankings, and Banners - Game Tracker and sites that list like so..???

The file is vastly similar to QVIEW.EXE from qview50.zip. Maybe 90%.

Ya Spirit i did the same thing, scanned the binary through UltraEdit and saw a lot of reference from the original.

You obviously do not understand how copyrights are granted in the US. If you make the original "works" then it's copyright.
No paper work to fill out, nothing to send to the government. You have the original works, that's that.

You sir are infringing on Xoanan's copyright of that program by editing the title in the menu bar! And further by distributing it as your own.
Xoanan is still in business making phone aps, maybe a C&D from them and a hefty fine will convince you.
Wow next u'll make a clone of BF3 and call it BF-PC!

Yea he probably did hex edit it, but to me its going overboard a little with the seriousness of this ' crime ' as it were. Turns out its good publicity for
Xoanan in the end...and who is to say he cares one way or another at this point how it turns out in the end. Theres no need for us to speak / put words inother peoples mouths.....if its so important to them, let them take action on their own behalf. Also, lets say this guy really does want to see if he can get the source code from the author and with their permission, modify it, how would that be done?
