    server is 69.28.221.75:27910
    sent a request for port 26000

    i try to connect to it an i get nothing. does anyone have the files i need and what not?

    Define "i get nothing" in as much detail as possible. Is this "connection accepted and it sits there"? Or the client acts like the server doesn't even exist. (Type "port 27910; test2 69.28.221.75" in console, what happens? If it doesn't show anything at all, there isn't even a server running at that port).

    What company is server host?

    Anyway: Assuming you get a "connection accepted" kind of issue, NetQuake unlike other games even of the same era, needs all the ports open on the server. Not just port 26000. So NetQuake is unlike Quakeworld, Half-Life, Quake 2, Quake 3, or any other game.

    Port 26000 is the connection port, but once a client connects it is randomly assigned its own port for further communication. If you get "connection accepted" and then nothing, this means that only 26000 is open and the firewall is blocking this "non-26000 port communication."

    [NetQuake is not very router friendly in the ports department, clearly.]

      Download CRmod from Clanring CRMod , then make a folder called "crmod" in the quake 1 folder, and download proquake at ProQuake 4: The official continuation of ProQuake , then read the manual at Clanring CRMod for info on how to setup a server.

        I need a dns though.. and i'm having trouble uploading .exe's FTP keeps getting denied, but everything else goes through.

          On server, delete qsecurity.dll.

          The ProQuake security module was "deprecated" 4+ years ago (i.e. the ProQuake security module isn't supported and no longer works).

          UGS won't let you upload executable files (.exe, etc.), you'd have to put in a support request for that.
