  • How to fix torches in Rygels Texturepack?

    Is there any way to get the wall torches working in Rygels pack in Dark Places? I'm using the 'High' quality version (not Ultra, as I get hard pauses with Ultra -- my card has 768MB).

    Well, I think I just fixed it (answered my own question). I removed the 'flame.mdl' file from the '\progs' folder and repacked the PK3 file. I guess it now uses the original torches, but as least they show up now.

      Hello Rebooter,

      I am not sure if you maybe meant the pretty sprite torchlight from LordHavoc.

      If you want to use the pretty sprite torchlight in your Quake (without the necessity to use dpmod itself),
      you will find it here.
      You will find different options to choose from on the bottom of post #1 there.

        Basically some of the torch models wouldn't appear at all. I think maybe the texture for the Rygel model was missing.

        I installed the mod you linked, good stuff, thanks.
