Hello Gentlemen!
My name is Sergei, I'm from Ukraine, and I'd like to introduce my current project.
It's called Megiddo (or Sergei Savenko's Megiddo as it appears ingame), and basically it's a single player third person mod for DarkPlaces. It's in a very early development stage right now, however I have already got a lot of useful information and tools from this great site, so it's all appropriate for me to sign up here.
Gameplay-wise it's more reminiscent of MDK rather than Gears Of War or Resident Evil 4. It's a stripped down back-to-basics shooter with some of the Quake features actually removed (like the multiple ammo types or the Runes). What I'm trying to make stand out is the artwork (also done by yours truly), the music taken from the collections of Andrew 'Necros' Sega, and the dark cyberpunk storyline with lots of Biblical apocalyptic themes.
But enough words, it's showtime!

What I desperately need at the moment:
- A good .spr tool for the enemy sprites (yeah, they will be in 2D, like in RetroBlazer);
- Some QC knowledge on HUD modification;
- Learn why the hell shaders like water, lava, skybox, etc. don't work for me =_= (I'm using netRadiant with q3map2).
