    Yes 2 yellow armors is too much ,maybe delete this yellow armor and put the double shotgun there.
    Perhaps some ammo at the old double shotgun place.

      I'm not sure if it's possible to place items in mid air in vanilla quake though?
      a very very small clip brush? Like 1 unit? Just enough to block it from falling but nowhere near enough to ever really land on it?

        the traditional way is some func_wall or something with a targetname set which can be killtargeted shortly after map start. the thing sitting on top doesn't realise that its now floating.
        a very very small clip brush will still block the player.

          I'm somewhat reluctant to remove the armour completely from that room, because that would mean it loses its reason to exist in the first place. I've also gotten feedback by people who mentioned they like the YA room a lot. I'm thinking either green armour in there, or green armour in the lift room.

          Alternatively, red armour there or in the lift room, and Quad in midair. Then maybe Ring where Quad was.

          MG: it's true what Spike says, even a 1 unit clip brush will block the player. Hence it uses a killtargeted func_wall now.

                  I've uploaded the latest changes (v.0.5) to bigfoot.quake1.net (as greybox_wip05.bsp) so people can check it out on the EuroQuake server.
                  (it should auto-download for most clients, else click the link above).

                  Connect to EuroQuake: connect bigfoot.quake1.net
                  To vote for the map, say (press "t" or use "say" in console):!map greybox_wip05

                  Btw, the reasoning behind the name change is to avoid problems with auto-downloading and consistency with other 'Work In Progress'-maps on the server.
                  Also, note that the .lit and .way files will not auto-download, so if your client auto-downloaded the .bsp you will have to manually download the .zip that GB provided and rename the .lit and .way files accordingly..

                      Later today after I pass out and wake up,I would like to try this map @ Bigfoot. Any chance FFANY is hosting this map too?

                        You should find that this map is on the FFANY server, if not then please let me know.

                        To help anyone else that would like to try it first connect to the New York server: connect newyork.servequake.com:26000
                        and then vote for the map using the server magic . To do this you simply need to say "!map" followed by the name of the map whilst in game. So in this case you would press "t" or use "say" in console followed by !map greybox_wip05
                        As peg said in an earlier post, if you have your autodownload options set to the euroquake server then it should download the map for most clients automatically whilst connected to the server. If you do not have this set, or your client doesn't support this (I'm told DP does not at the moment), then you can download it manually from http://bigfoot.quake1.net/maps/greybox_wip05.bsp .

                        Well done gb on such a cool, interesting looking map.

                          Heh, I kinda forgot this map had a quake version. I might give it a workover.

                          There is also a Warsow version, but IIRC Warsow devs said it wasn't too suited to Warsow. Admittedly it is not a standard map - the room with the spiral ramp is pretty unusual I guess.

                          The map is now called "No Name Horse" btw.

                          I am kinda proud of this, because I think I managed to really deliver a map that is slightly different and also recognizable. The lift has been cited as a weakness, but that is easy to bypass Treat the lift as a newbie trap!

                          Edit: Also if I give this map some Quake textures, which ones do you want? Base? Grey brick? Copper? Gloom Keep?
