    Hello long time lurker here, a few of you may have deathmatched with me in the past few years.

    I have been working on this map for the past 2 months or so on and off. I mapped for various games but always had an issue with following through until completion of the level. I thought creating a thread would be a good way to keep motivation and engage in my favorite game's community.

    It started out as just a speed map I was doing to play with my little brother but quickly expanded from that lol. I don't plan my maps out and I'm not certain of the texture set currently in place so that is subject to change (It's not legal to use half-life textures I'm sure)

    Nice. Keep it up! I don't think Valve will come to your house with torches for using HL textures in some Quake map, and if they do, you can always change the textures...

    But I know for sure that a lot of Quake fans would rather have Quake textures (unless this were actually a half-life map)

      Dude this really nice, honestly i can agree what golden said.

      Especially if the textures or a mod were not sold by any means.

      But really keep up the good work.

          I think it's looking great so far! I wouldn't worry about the texture use of HL, Valve allows people to make all kinds of free stuff featuring their engine, some times made as an official download on Steam! Plus the game is so dated at this moment that I doubt they'd bat an eye.

            Sounds like valve knows that the publicity they get from people who use their stuff in other mods is good for them. Whereas there are some cases I have seen here that frown on using Q2 or Q3 models in a q1 mod.

              Map is coming along nicely and this time I have opted for a video

              I took into consideration what had been said and am using base quake textures as of now. Only a few areas are textured atm, focusing on brush work.

                Map has gotten a little large for dm but progressing nicely. Expecting to have it released within a week.

                  I always have some but, honestly, it looks really good so...
