HD textures for SP-maps!

HD texture-pack for scampie&lunaran's Necromancer's keep was just released


i wasnt able to find fitting textures for a handfull of the spider-web textures,
but i didnt want to postpone releasing the texture-pack any longer.
if i do find good textures for the missing spider-web textures ill update the pack with them

its a great map, without a doubt one of my fave AD maps

btw if you wanna play the map with dp_pretty_water and fog-brushes look reflective after enabling r_water,
save an ent-file for the map and add "water_alpha" "1.0" to the first block (block which also contains worldspawn)

if you add that line to ent-file for the map, DP will stop rendering the fog-brushes as reflective surfaces

you're welcome

when playing the map myself i found that out after deciding to randomly play with the water alpha setting,
that setting water_alpha to 1.0 got rid of the unwanted reflectiveness

you MUST add it to ent-file though, cuz AD's start-map also includes a water_alpha line which reverts the setting to 0.65 upon loading start-map.
adding the line to ent-file of ad_necrokeep will make the engine change the setting back to 1 on loading the map

note that for most of those you will need to delete some files to actually have the models show up in-game.
each pk3 with hi-poly models has a readme in it with details of which files you need to delete

so that all texture-packs, HD models & skins for AD can be grouped together into one thread

missing textures

Great pack but some textures are missing for me.

you need to have ALL other HD texture-packs for AD installed too.

i didnt include textures that are already included in previous texture-packs by myself, BV and Icaro.
it would be pointless to have duplicates as it would only increase the filesize of texture-packs

the huge amount of textures in AD already makes that all texture-packs together amount to over 2GB in file-size,
which would probably be double that even if every texture-pack included duplicates

and the massive amount of textures in AD means one single texture-pack for all of AD isnt really feasible...
for most people it would take forever to download a single file thats over 2GB.

so grab the other texture-packs for AD by me and the bunch of texture-packs by icaro & blood-vengeance
and install all of those texture-packs too, then there wont be any missing textures anymore


EDIT: oh that also includes my texture-pack for Sock's "Metal Monstrosity", which is also featured in AD!
matter of fact, thats the particular texture-pack which includes the textures you are missing right now

EDIT2: oh, and of course that also includes Icaro's HD texture-pack for Sock's "Horde Of Zendar"
