Is the helmet not going to be on the player model's head? Because his face looks too skinny, with a helmet though it might completely different.

        Oh

I didn't notice the helmet on the WIP picture, I was looking off the concept picture. With textures it would probably make a big difference visually. I just like how the original quake player's head looks.

Not necessarily chunky and square but the general look from the front view.

consider this, his helmet had to take more than a few whacks from a shambler, fiend, etc.

rather than listen to us , do what you have already done. When the Quake guy stowed his axe away, that shit went somewhere, and we certainly hope he wasnt stowing it away in his trunk(owww)!
You completely nailed that concept by having his axe on his back!

There is a weird "in-between" area, that has two groups of people in Quake.
Those who would love some new player model's regaurdless of what it looks like, and on the other side you have those who would love some new player models, while staying as true to the original as possible and if it doesnt OH BOY will they tell you about it. I'm one of those people lol. someone working on Q1 . is a-okay in my book regaurdless of the final product.

                  Keep up the good work!

Thnx. So do you want the helmet to be a bit bigger then?

Ohh deary me! Our sponsor may not like this! Here is a quick word from them:

                    ================================================== ================

                    Dear #1618

May I remind you that you singed a sponsorship deal with us?

                    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(excerpt from Grunt of Fortune Magazine, issue 30467, page 36, UAC Marine Armour Advert)

                    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The new UAC Universal Marine Force Combat Armour is here!

Codenamed the GR8-T Armour, this special armour is a must have for any inter-dimensional combat marine! Whether you are fighting hell spawn daemons on the moons of Phobos, trashing em pesky Stroggos grunts or decapitating multi-dimensional creatures such as the Shambler, you can never go wrong while you are wearing UACs GR8-T Armour!

ITS TIME TO KICK ASS AND TAKE NO PRISONERS!!!!

The GR8-T armour is now more flexible and can resist more damage then ever before!

The helmet is made from a special fibreglass oxy polymer carbon fused mesh, that's reinforced with 3 layers micro Kevlar in between each layer, with a special air density soft Kevlar micro layer on the inside of the helmet.

The armour is also manufactured using a similar process, except with re-enforced corrugated carbon meshing that's bolted on in the main surface areas of the armour.

All of this allows the fighting marine of the future to move with speed, flexibility and deadly intents!

Some may notice that the armour looks SLIMER compared to the previous armour models released in 2296. This is true as the new model armour has been reduced by almost 35% in terms of combined manufacturing costs, reduced by 45% in terms of flexibility and increased a further 67% in terms of performance. The combat helmet now weighs only 570g and the armour itself weighs approximately 3.5Kg. No need to hold back any longer on the meatloaf to stay slimmer while in combat!!!

Now you can be all that you can be, plus more, with UACs GR8-T Universal Marine Force Combat Armour!

This makes the new GR8-T armour truly GREAT!!!

                    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                    P.S.

So dont fuck with us or we will blow your fucking brains out like worse then that mother fucking shambler!!!!

                    Best Regards

                    General Butch Bacon
