Hi, qbism here, long time lurker and first time poster. I've been working on Super8, an 8-bit software Quake (WinQuake) engine with goodies like big map support, transparent water, and scorch marks on walls. Also some subtle features like tab map name completion. It's an alpha level release, played successfully by a few people, but still in development with minor bugs.

This is the 'Holloween Special' release and it includes 8-bit skymaps and handy shortcuts to play several classic extremely large maps. Links:
