How was your halloween?

I just sat around, played a lot of Devil May Cry 3 (original version), got dumped and my father disowned me.

Quite the eventful halloween and I didn't even get to play any quake. :c

(Weirdly enough I did watch Hellraiser at 1AM this morning, that's the most "halloween"-ish thing I did.)

As befits Halloween, I engaged in necromancy and started a new mod from the rubble of an old one.

No running around in costumes though, if that's what you mean.

I had my computer randomly BSOD on me. Fuck knows why (nothing helpful showed up in Event Viewer). Thankfully, no repeat performance.

its my experience family's fight,that's their purpose. It's the working through it that makes us better,and sets the example of nothing is ever too big or large to be handled by a family.The next generation (your kids) will understand that fighting happens but how its handled is whats important and be better for it.

truths,nothing is worse than going to bed after having a fight with MrsMindz and waking up the next day unresolved or concluded,so we don't. Hash that shit out and move forward

and as far as family things goes, it was something that would happen eventually. I don't even like any aspects of him, I just felt like I had to keep in touch with him because he's my father. (Childhood abuse and that whole kind of thing.)

Maybe next year we could arrange a halloween time event for some epic fragging, perhaps with some new halloween themed maps for the occasion.

So perhaps the first good time just before halloween for everybody, a small pay in to help cover costs and maybe the winner can get a game or two on steam or something. (I'm always buying bundles and am starting to have desura and steam keys float about aimlessly.)

(Just a thought, elaborate or alter as much as you like if you think it's worth using.)

Oh, and off topic, is there a public IRC that people collectively use here? I just see an instant messaging function pretty useful for this site since I think almost everybody has a vague familiarity with everybody else.

i think we covered all the "US American silly traditions" trick or treating, pumpkin carving, watching scary movies, and seeing a Best Buy Christmas commercial on tv during a Halloween program.

oh and i played quake 2 with the kid for the first time. we played on a play station emulator on the wii and played a split screen death mach! i think i rember seeing there was a quake one like that for n64 so maybe i will hafe to try that out with him
