Very interesting... I respect the dead (and I respect the ones who are claimed to be dead.) I will not post any sarcastic statements in this thread. However I will give you something to think about... Some people think that Tupac faked his own death...

Generally speaking, I think that the media is correct. But there are times when I question the truth behind the media. I don't think that I know much, but I just thought that this would be an interesting discussion.

.... This article is obviously satire... :/ Also Tupac is obviously dead. Conspiracy theories are powerful forces because, ironically our brain's evolutionary development to recognize patterns. This allowed us to survive on the African savanna and beyond with great success. But it plagues us in today's world because it's difficult (but not impossible) to overcome our built in nature. People hate randomness as a result (it scares us), they fear the sort of random occurrences that can destroy their lives, so as a mechanism against that fear, it turns out makes us much more susceptible to believe in a conspiracy. We can't forget confirmation bias and proportionality bias that play a tremendous role in keeping these idea firm in our minds even when presented with a mountain of evidence to the contrary. Those most suspectible to this are those who feel disadvantaged, powerless, and those trying to make sense of a world they are unable to come to grips with in their own mind a thus create sometimes elaborate theories that complement the narrative they have come up with. Naturally these groups will come together with like minded groups thus strengthening cognitive biases amongst the group. For an example of this, look at studies of high school group dynamics. Anyone who's been to high school understands groups or "clics" form among those who are like minded, isolated from the populous, feel disenfranchised, etc. All of these things have helped us survive as a species into modern times but it's quite dangerous today.

This effect is much stronger in societies, civilizations, countries where the people feel underpowered, distrustful of their government, etc. It is ok to question things. This is health. What you have to look out for is when you stop looking for answers and start believing in something to be true so much that you are unable to look at objective evidence of the contrary. Just my two cents.

You know as for 2pac and Elvis i can somewhat relate to believing they are alive and well. Unfortunately we have no documentation of it, just a bunch of conspiracy theorist.

Even if proof surfaced of the deceased being alive and well, truth is there is only so many combinations of "what you COULD look like" , that's why we see look alikes everywhere. Dollywood employ's lots of big boobed look alikes just to be out there waving and taking pictures and shit. Speaking of which Dolly just (or is getting ready to) drop another album. Woman's a beast.
