  • Brief Hiatus!

    Some of you already know, so this is more for those who don't haha.

    I'm moving, not out of state, not out of county, not even out of town!
    MrsMindz(Gothiccandy) was in the hospital the past 3 days ,nothing serious.
    Picking her up in a few she has been discharged,etc.

    Just keeping the community aprised, give it roughly a week and we should be settled in. Already got the power turned on @ new address, internet was supposed to be hooked up today but go figure...

    Fuckin CableONE demands "Professional Installation" which requires I be there which requires all my ducks be in a row lined up,unfortunately I can't command ducks like this...

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSZmV_3Lm_A]Here it is training! ! ! ! cool!! - YouTube[/ame]

    I'll keep you guys n gals on the up n up as it reaches me.

        I got fed up with the warehouse on Monday and moved Tuesday. I lost like 119,500 square feet and I also lost unbearable heat, 24 miles of driving a day just to go to work, the stress of never knowing if the port feds were gonna figure out that I'm not "working", and a bunch of other crap that was getting very old.

        Now I live in uptown New Orleans near the universities, Audubon park, etc...

        I had a good run. 3 years of zero rent, cheap electric and the ability to do whatever the hell I want. I had a small skate park, a shooting range, ping-pong, basketball and a makeshift fight ring. I wont miss it. You can't have lots of adventures if you never complete the one you are on.

        My new adventure is to make MASSIVE changes to everything about my life at light speed. I'm kinda sick of my job. My goal is to have a new and better job before next friday. Then I'm gonna buy a house even though my credit sucks and I have zero tax history. In 6 months I want my status to be unbelievable in comparisson to last monday.

        I formed a paint company once with a craigslist ad and a paintbrush. I didn't even have a vehicle. I made 50k the first year and sustantially more the second year. It was my atitude... driven, determined and completely deaf to everyone's defeatist "wisdom". I have another run of that fire in me.

          Extremely interesting life. I would hate to hear more, seriously.

          Not being rude about the above comment but i surely have no comparison to that even though I was never handed anything on a silver or even bronze platter. You got to keep up the struggle to make a better life and only you will be rewarded by your own actions.

            nothing has ever been handed to me. I've been on my own since I was 16. You may opine that living in a gigantic warehouse rent free is in opposition to what I'm saying but, that only holds water until you realize that I spent thousands of dollars on materials and built an entire house by myself. Everything I had there I paid for and/or built.

            How hard do you think I had to work to turn a paintbrush and CL ad into approx 10k in tools and a lucrativr business? How hard will I have to work to purchase a house when I 0% qualify? Not to mention my timeframe isn't realistic at all.

            I'm actually not sure how you took any of the above as something being handed to me. I have to work 100x harder than you to have things you already have. You appear to have made good choices in life and those choices presented you with opportunity. I have to super impose myself on opportunities that swear they will never be available to me.

            As an aside, how many people do you know that have moved not even 24 hours after they first decided to? I don't fuck around. For real, I woke up covered in sweaty slime completely fucking done and was gone the next day. Fully paid cash on the spot for the new place and I'll be 3 months ahead here in 2 months.

              You were living in a warehouse for free for 3 years? How did that come to be?

                Presuming we're not imposing I'm curious too.

                  I may have worded it the wrong way, but i meant to say (You have an interesting life style) I did not mean (you had everything handed down). I'm just saying you have had a rougher life them myself.

                  I also meant that i never had anything handed down. I have an 8th grade education (BUT WAIT) I went and got a G.E.D just to become a police officer at one point in my life. However i bettered myself on my own. I'm saying you live(d) in a fucking warehouse. No thank's on my behalf. Kudos to you for doing it because I would have never done it.

                    @worded wrong: oh...lol.

                    I have an "8th grade education“ and got my GED too. My education didn't end at 8th grade because I was some troubled child though. I was more like a child with troubles.

                    Living in the warehouse wasn't so terrible. I built a decent home in it... raised, insulated, rocked, etc..but it was still nothing like living residential. No garbage collection, mailing address, etc... go to sleep cool by a fan and wake up dieing with boiling heat blowing on you. I think the thing I hated most though was how impossible it was to keep things clean.

                      I could imagine a big ass dust ball rolling around that place. Cleaning 119,000+ square feet with 1 person is just not possible to keep up. I am surprised that you had power in that place. The bill had to be extremely high unless you carried a flashlight around 24/7, but i doubt that since you had computer going and phone charger etc etc....

                        ah I see where you and I aren't communicating properly. The overall warehouse was not connected to any power. I built my house, installed 3 phase and my house was the only powered part of the warehouse. I never cleaned an inch of the warehouse beyond the area I occupied. My electric bill was about 30 a month. The real problem was the warehouse was primarily unused so dust and dirt would collect and then a big wind would whip through and throw a bunch of dirt in my area.

                        I kept my area very clean but it was an absolutely never-ending job. Now I don't have to deal with wasny of that. I miss my skate park though.
