It's oral surgery. My 4 wisdom teeth are impacted into my jaws, and completely sideways. Causes a lot of pain and pressure in the rest of my teeth. They're going to put me under for it, and I'm actually pretty nervous about it.
I empathise, I realise it is really beneficial to your overall health and who wants false teeth? But it always costs a lot and is painful.
I have wondered before, if there was a way to replace your teeth with an unbreakable substitute, that wasn't too expensive, I would consider it. Never having to worry about pain and needles again.
The last time I went it was for a gold cap. $1300 and insurance didn't cover it.
If I could go back in time, I would advise myself against smoking & taking speed.
I guess you're not allowed to eat for some time leading up to it? It doesn't help the state of mind.
I'm pretty sure I'm not allowed to eat or drink anything after midnight tonight. My insurance is covering everything so I won't have any out of pocket costs.
I also know that they can do the implants and stuff, but from what I hear, those are really expensive.
I haven't been knocked out for dental since I was seven and had four teeth out.
In some ways I would prefer to wake up and have it all done.
By the way (read your profile), I have a two year old son. He turned only two weeks ago, icky things children.
Hmm... I made him sound like a zombie.
His talking has accelerated lately. Doesn't shut up now.
Yeah, they're putting me under for it. Part of the reason I'm so nervous. I've never been put under for anything before.
Mine's been talking my ear off for about a year now. She speaks pretty clearly, loves talking, and asking questions. She kind of reminds me of the little girl off Animaniacs. The one that has to ask why about everything, lol.

I have implants. Top and bottom. 22k cash i paid in full.
My wife is also having surgery next week. Same thing getting put under to remove 4 wisdom teeth and have a deep cleaning done..she is nervous. I was awake during my 3 hour operation and every one after that. Took me 7 months to have my entire mouth done with implants.
