AMD Catalyst 14.12 Driver - The Omega Driver - Meet Omega

"Downsampling" has arrived in full force force for AMD APU's and Dedicated graphics card owners, and it's brings a whole bevy of graphical enhancements!

Basically, the most notable feature is a simple on/off switch for example, rendering in 4K and displaying natively on 1080p. What's this mean? Ultra crisp backgrounds and the such, I'm going to install these drivers and provide everyone with a Qrack/Darkplaces example screenshots. I have neither currently setup at the moment so it will be a long minute before I'm ready.

I also got to create a restore point juuuuust in case this happens to me....

Totally missed the Frame Pacing / Render time enhancments! Reading further into the article , if the driver delivers as promised, holy shit balls this new driver suite is excellent in the proposed promises!

Sometimes I miss the PC industry cutting edge, other times I'm glad I stopped focusing on the latest and greatest and focused on what really maters... Crack cocaine (jk)... I mean work.

I've used the Omega drives MANY times for both NVIDIA and AMD but testing out the latest omega driver (last month) on an integrated GPU the driver crashed consecutively and gave me a horrible experience with absolutely no gain in performance.

It may be the fact that I'm on a laptop with no real "decent" 3D performance but that was the worst experience using the Omega Drivers I've had. Are these drivers getting worse for anyone else?

I had another trial run using these drivers a while back on the same laptop and everything went fine so I assume it was Windows and the Omega drivers having a conflict over an MS update. Oh well

those custom tailored Omega Drivers of the old, and what was released today are not the same. the second sentence of the first link I provided said

'AMD is getting ready for the winter, in this article we look at what AMD labeled the 'Omega Driver'. This naming has nothing to do with an old Catalyst modder who went by this name; this is the new 14.12 Catalyst driver which has had some TLC from AMD.'

I'll have to give these drivers a look this week and see if they even do anything for my slightly older AMD card.

as far as I have read (so far,almost done watching stuffs on the internets) , as long as you have a GCN 7xxx / GCN APU (or newer) video card you'll see benefits.

I got two more shows to let my eyeballs consume before I install these drivers and proceed to test them out. Then, before I bother testing out new modern games performance improvements.....Darkplaces,Qrack and I have a date with some Virtual Super Resolution testing.

AMD Catalyst 14.12 Omega WHQL (14.501.1003.0 November 20) - Page 9 - Guru3D.com Forums , I'm not sure about this driver. I'm reading everyone's experiences with these drivers, look before you leap the say. AS OF NOW, looks like AMD blew smoke up my ass and now it appears it might result in that smoking coming out my ears as steam for lack of GCN 1.0 support on all these what appeared to be oSo cool features.

installed successfully with zero issue's. Didn't even remove the drivers like everyone suggests, install & go.
benifits? Testing shall ensue now, I wanted to 2v2 ZTNDM3 but when my internet took a shit on my game and fucked my team over, I'm just beyond irritated. Time to nerd out and whatever,be back with a report on this stuff sometime between 9pm-10pm roughly.

I got this error last night when installing:
AMD Support and Game Forums - **FIXED** 14.12 CCC OMEGA (resp. any other driver) - code 52 - unsigned driver won't install

So, right now I'm contemplating between going through the rig-a-maroll of all the steps involved to install it or just wait for an updated version. I just went back to the driver I was using before and everything is fine right now, so I may jsut wait as that works just fine.

I used that, I had already downloaded the Guru3D version but then I started to read conflicting reports about what you exactly said. WHQL unsigned nonsense, try using the ADT
