I know this has nothing to do with quake at all, but I guess that's why it's in the Chat-O-Rama section. I was reading over the WoW forums today and I found this little gem of a thread. I thought it was really awesome how this guy's guildies supported him in his time of need. As cliche as it sounds, it really touched me and I thought I would share it with you guys.

That is cool. Good to see people do that. There are some weird cancers hitting some people I knew that didn't make it. Things I've never heard of. All of them male. Take care of yourself guys as I know you don't like taking time to go to the docs. Damnit.. get in there!

Maybe not nearly as fantastical, but on online games I always try to help new players. In fact, what I love doing the most on Diablo II (Paladin) is give new players equipment and gold, because I always end up with obscene amounts that I cant use. It does feel good to find a new comrade that may help you the same way you helped them someday.

I guess that works as well as what I do (go and gamble $50000 for a ring that's only worth $1050)
