Phenom, according to my uncle who works in such a department, 3 512mb sticks of ram is NOT dual channel. To have dual channel, you must have 2, or 4 sticks. 3 sticks is like running single channel. so is. I doubt they invented a motherboard with a capacity of more than 4 sticks?
