It wasn't as good as the 2nd one. It might be the kind of movie that gets better with a 2nd viewing.

They were talking about it on the radio today. Seems that tons of people are saying that, "The first one was ok, the second one rocked and the third wasn't as good as the second."

So I guess it's safe to say that the third one was better than the first one but not as good as the second one?

That review is about bang on. Like when the movie is at the good scene's its great but it has alot of low lulls too. First blockbuster of the summer, not too bad.

I wish I was paying more attention this morning. I think they said that this movie has just grossed over 600 million.

I heard it was 60 million on the first day in the States... way, way more now. Worldwide it'll be well into the hundreds of millions.

It was a good movie. Sure it was corny and Spiderman turned into an emo halfway through but that's fine It's the same guilty pleasure I laughed at when I watched the TMNT movies as a kid.

Actually, Spiderman 3 broke every opening record for the the first week global and US (most single day, most 3 day total, most 1st weekend, most first week).

It was a good movie. Sure it was corny and Spiderman turned into an emo halfway through but that's fine It's the same guilty pleasure I laughed at when I watched the TMNT movies as a kid.

I've read some explanations on some of the corny things about the movie:

1. Peter Parker and the emo stuff.

The explanation: Peter Parker is a dork (like in the first movie). He's not cool. Peter Parker going "bad" is going to be a like a dork going bad. In that sense, the black costume couldn't have a worse host.

2. Some of the other stuff.

Peter Parker isn't mature and he really has no clue when it comes to women or relationships and has no idea what he's doing or why. So he is going to be saying the wrong thing a lot.

Still, I didn't like all of the coincidences you had to buy into -- and there were many. And the movie had a lot of slow spots.

This is one of those movies that gets better when watching it a 2nd time.

Still pretty damn long.
