        AMD for sure. Either the "64 x2 6000+" or the "64 FX-62" .

        current system:
        - Pentium 4 3.0
        - 1GB ram
        - BFG 7800 OC

my system plays quake just fine, but my processor cannot handle Battlefield 2142 too well.

CDN*Sniper, Canadian*Sniper, and I don't buy computer parts online so I'm no help for you. The last place I purchased my custom built rig was at http://www.paradyn.ca/. Google has a "pages from Canada" search that you could use.

Intel's newest processors are currently owning AMD.

Or, they were last time I checked.

The core 2 E6600 and above pretty much owns anything AMD has right now, but because of that AMD is better bang/buck. Or maybe this guy is like my uncle, Intel pissed him off with a P4 2.53 GHz which was out-perfromed by an old AMD Thunderbird 850MHz, and he won't buy Intel anymore

I wish I knew some good canadian webistes to buy PC's at, I would put something togeather for you.

I just buy through little local shops in Calgary.

                  www.memoryexpress.com

                  www.ascotpc.com

                  etc....

But i go their physically for the parts.

So i'm not much help either, suggestion grab a phone book.

Look under computer; call up random computer stores asking about the asrock or whatever mainboard it was that someone mentioned that had both capabilities or find a board by gigabyte or someone that has these abilities right down the model # and phone around.

                  ~Cheers.
