T-Shirts/Avatars/Signatures

T-Shirts.... Would be good for Displaying that Quake is still played while were out and about?

Avatars and Signatures.. I'm sure alot of us belong to other boards? Animated or not Avatars or Signatures could provide the extra Net Coverage.??

Some of the runic artwork seen in the wizard texture set would look good on a solid black t-shirt... Maybe just the straight up Q as well (it works, my last name starts with a Q).

Ive never been much of a signature guy, though mine links to I3D since I do the news there... The forums arent exactly active, but they are checked by various people and are good for asking for QuakeC help.

It would be awsome if people would add links to this site in their signatures on other forums. The more people spreading the word about the site, the faster it'll grow

For t-shirts, the problem with making/selling shirts is the legal aspect of it. We can't legally use the Q symbol and sell it without permission from ID Software because I assume it's under copyright to them. Perhaps if we had someone draw some unique artwork we could throw it on a shirt and sell it, but again we'd have to look into legal issues with that.

Here are two suggestions:

1) Advertise QuakeOne.com (yes one word because Quake is a copyrighted slogan) with the avatars of famous posters (or post whores ). You may have to contact id software on this as the law keep changing and I could be wrong.

2) (for this you definately have to contact id software and have a contract of some medium agreeing to have access to the name, logo and entities in quake1. After that, we could collab and make artworks, such as shamblers (hehe bank), quake marines, chthons, etc.

Again I'm no lawyer but I did take Business Law a few years back.

You CAN promote your site with them though? Shirts that is? And please don't go into the damn underwear stuff. That was sooo lame.

Get back into the Game w/QuakeOne.com! Or similar.... I'm sure Banks or someone can design something nice not only for the shirts but the Sig Tags? Perhaps have a section? You wouldn't host those tags here although but displaying them allows them to right click and save and they host it on a Photobucket account or something? Size specific so that they will accomodate all boards if they would like to display them.. Not required. Just a thought for something fun to get everyone involved with?
