It's something new Gunter did for his server where it does that when you're talking so people know you're talking.

I believe it also goes off when you're looking at the console (hitting the `/~ button).

He's simply rebinding the ` and T keys to do what they defaultly do before plus give the pose. I use ENTER to talk so gunter didn't catch me on that. The command is something like "FVF_Talk" but i forget

That's awesome. Why don't we implement that on ALL servers, so noone will complain about being fragged when their talking?

And though I dont like the visual in Quake3 of the textbox (I prefer what you see in the shot), it is in good form to have such because it is in bad sport to frag someone while theyre typing. I try to not, same as when I find someone experiencing bad PL.
