I've never been too big on politics, but in the last year something has come to my attention.
With Obama doing what he can to pass the health care reform, many people are now going against it. From what I have read and seen this is mostly the cause of the republican party. They are encouraging people to go to the town hall forums in large numbers to make it an uncomfortable environment.
This is caused by protesting and screaming so that nobody can hear what they are there to hear. This is protected via freedom of speech.
They have also gone to the extreme of encouraging people to bring guns to the town hall meetings. There are several accounts of people with rifles strapped across their shoulders. This is protected via the right to bare arms.
It seems that many people are just following suit of what their party has asked them to do. Not giving the reform a chance, and some not even knowing anything about it, most likely recruited by their freinds who asked them if they wanted to protest with them.
This is quite upsetting to me and many others around me, maybe even some of you. National health care is something many other countries have and is very successful. This is something that may be best for the country. Why go against it, against your friends, and against your government?
