I had a hard time on whether to build this rig around a HD5870's very large price tag or just do my homework and come out on top without my wallet coming out on bottom as well, and that lead me to check out the beast known as the HD5770 , a mid-range DX11 ready video card, and several days of researching benchmarks, it became apparent that two HD5770 > one HD5870 in nearly every benchmark.
