Id love to see it. Heretic/Hexen was my favorite before Quake came out. Hexen II was a lot of fun also.

I'm pretty sure that Hexen : Edge of Chaos is a real game. It just happens to use the Doom3 engine.

Yeah, I think Hexen and Heretic II were good but I just think they lost the taste of Heretic/Hexen. And that's what I hated about those 2 games. And I also hated how Heretic II was a 3rd person shooter!

I'm pretty sure that Hexen : Edge of Chaos is a real game. It just happens to use the Doom3 engine.

Why's the HUD the same a Doom 3 then?

Edge of Chaos IS a new game, that uses Doom3 engine.

It's the same thing about Nexuiz - Quake.
Nexuiz is a new game, but uses darkplaces Quake 1 engine...

imo Quake V should be a return to the slipgates. They even have the perfect opportunity to make the Quake V symbol using the Pent, putting a bee into the bonnet of self-important and under-read religious people everywhere.

I liked the NG from Quake 4. It would be a shame to have this kind of game engine technology and not see it used on a Lovecraft theme.

Problem is that there aren�t ANY medieval/fantasy shooters, not just Hexens/Heretics. Well there is ONE I know of from the whole decade. Now how many war shooters have been released since 2000? Creators show absolutely no interest even though it used to work fine and has absolutely no competition nowadays.

Besides Hexen EOC, I can recommend this finished mod:
It is a complete game (just like Hexen EOC will be ).
With over 20 maps and the duration is like a complete purchased game !

I think even gb, as a great mapping talent, can confirm that the man behind this mod is
one of the biggest talents nowadays.
Its almost unimaginable, that one man did it alone...
And the best thing is:
It has a big potion of puzzles in it !
Not only find key xx to door yy.

Oh thanks Seven, I nearly forget about this mod. I played it already on my old machine so it lagged a bit, but I�m definitely going to give the next round This time, with newer hardware, even those nightmarish levels.
