Kinda hard for Q to show up first in alphabetical order.
          e|------------------------0---------------
          B|---------------0^1----------------1----
          G|---------------2------2------0^2-------
          D|---------------2-------2--2-------------
          A|---------------0------------------------

mMm :C, but it's for Quakecon which to me it would make more sense to put the Quakes first (and each ones mission packs/ additions for that specific game) then stack in the other games (perhaps based on popularity or relativity to the Quakes, most likely by company title or theme).

if I ran Valve things wold be different, VARY much different to how it is now.......

Hm, it must be a Steam bug (missing scroll button?) or related to Germany then I guess. Quake is definitely not in the list for me. Even when I search for Quake on all Steam, there's no relevant hits, only ETQW.

Gibs/ragdolls are illegal in Germany (I believe), doesn't help that just about every quake game has them.

You remember L4D2 having to have a gib/ragdoll free version?

They aren't illegal at all. The only thing that's really illegal is to show swastikas. But you are only allowed to buy violent games like Quake if you're older than 18 (this means that you have to send a copy of your passport or something similar to an online shop before you can see those games on their website with your account*). The guys at Steam don't seem to care about this possibility, they just block everything. Idiots.

I'd like to buy this pack or the All-id-games pack - but I can't.

*Of course nobody does this, people just order their games in Austria, France or the UK.

While I don't like Steam, you're hating on it for a legal issue they have no control over, Germany's laws on game's are broken.
If you look at any german release of a game, they always remove gibs/ragdolls (e.g. Crysis, HL2, UT3, L4D2, Divinity 2).

This sound's like a issue with Germany to me, and I doubt ID Software is going to have a german release of there games.

As I said you can buy all those games, including a version of RTCW and the new Wolf with all swastikas removed, in shops in Germany and in german online shops if you verify your age. You cannot buy them at steam at all. I fail to see how they have no control over that.

But I guess they'll change that because they could make more $ if they did.

And I don't wanna argue about Steam vs german law. Both suck.

Quake is banned in Germany, meaning it is on "the index". It may not be sold or advertised publicly. It is not "free for people over 18". Doom3 is.

That's Germany for you. Must protect poor citizens!
