    World Poker Tour

    A guy I know and talk to on regular basis is winning the World Poker Tour:

    He is #1 with a 30% chip lead. There were 1042 players. He won $17 K a few weeks ago in a tournament in Indianapolis.

    The buy-in was $3,500; He's playing for $1 million.

    Before he flew out there, he told me "I'm nervous. This is my chance." It is looking really good for him now.

      He just eliminated the defending champion. We'll see what happens ... he has a commanding chip lead over the other 24 remaining players, nearly double the 2nd place guy.

            My bud is still winning at position #1 with a 30% chip edge on #2, 10 players left. Assuming that nothing changes, he'll be nationally televised tomorrow in the final 6.

            [Sadly this has distracted me a bit from engine coding ... but I've still be working through stuff in my head. So I don't sleep until late, I might have a much needed revision of Engine X. And if I do sleep, well, I won't. It's my woman's birthday tomorrow.]

                When's this going to be televised? I watch poker all the time. I'll tune in

                  Did some checking ... it will be televised, but it won't be televised live It'll be on TV in a month or 2.

                  My bud is in the final 6 (ranked #3) so he'll be in that.

                        He was eliminated in 4th place; got a payout of $233,000. Not too bad and quite an achievement.
