  • quake the great

in 500,000 years the galaxy will be explored, many alien races encountered and much searching into the past will be done

one search into the past is that of virtual reality simulation. by such time we will be playing philosophy games on copper edged invisible plate screens with the graphics of real life

someday their search may bring them to quake, a virtual reality simulation with a seemingly 3d world interacted with by their limited devices

the archeological history of virtual reality is being written into the annals of history

nothing like the linear progression of time to make each public event a historic footnote. whether youre into annal or not...

Quake will be remembered, it spawned a culture unlike no other and really pushed forward in technology. Through time with an objective viewpoint it will overshadow others such as Half Life (a Quake TC of BlakeStone), Doom3 (aliens) and others. When it comes to the annals of time, Quake's only actual competition will be the original Doom, and rightly so.

You must realize my friend, Doom will forever overshadow Quake, but eventually, they might as well be thought of as one, because they are almost symbiotic, without one, the other would not be remembered.

Doom is OK. The singleplayer probably owns quakes, but the multiplayer is really boring. There aren't any cool mods.

It is silly to compare them, theyre actually very different games, though few people realize this because they only compare a games camera angle and storyline.

Skulltag is like one big Doom multiplayer mod, it's awesome, adds new weaps, skins, maps, and powerups, it's the most fun you'll ever have with doom.
