  • Origami Action Airforce Squad GO!

So, I had the chance to go chill out with a friend tonight and get my mind off things. I let my hands start working away at little squares of paper until I created a couple very neat little origami aircraft. I had to show somebody so, you're my audience and aren't you so happy for it?

Each plane was made up from 2 squares of paper fitted together. No cutting or gluing. Complete with working landing gear and canopies.

    Origami is pretty cool
Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.

So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...

Very cool. Everytime I try to make something I either end up with a cup or ripped paper from frustration

        Thanks!

Hang in there, In the beginning all I could make is an origami rock ^_~

I learned how to make a crane from my sensei in aikijitsu. After every lesson she taught she would fold a tiny crane. One day I saw the small room next to her office and it was filled, floor to celing halfway toward the door with shoe-boxes full of paper cranes.

Story behind it, the sensei she trained under in Japan flew to America to visit her when she first opened her dojo, and when he left, he ordered her to make a crane for every lesson she taught until he returned. He passed away in 1991 and she just kept on folding cranes as a gesture of respect and a memorial to him. (similar to an episode of ghost in the shell for you anime buffs out there)

If she's kept them all, I can't imagine how many boxes there are.

I used to make origami back in middle school. I haven't tried making them since, though.

I was actually better at painting landscapes, and I even made a paper mache (actually it was "mixed media") figure of a character I created.

I thought I had pics online but I can't find them. I dunno, if there's enough interest, I'll take pics of them and upload them.
