Those were the days man! Ive played alot of different games since 98-00. But far and away the most fun I had was playing Quake CTF. I loved playing the ID maps the most. Ill never forget grappling above the archway at the entrance of the Necropolis with black magic and the RL and gibbing people before they knew you were there. It was also great to get the quad and run into the tentrance backwards with the quad and RL trying to get the same guy that was gaurding the flag! Man, I miss those days.
If you see 427 playing Quake thats me.

Absolutely! Miss the days of playing 8on8 even on the id maps it was a lot of fun since it gave room to move with that many people. I remember back around 1998 playing a solid 5-8 hours of CTF on HATING going through the entire map rotation from e1m1 to e4m8

What mod/servers did you play on.

A lot of old school quake players play quakelive and WoW. I keep in touch w/ a lot of u4 and DeathRow guys.

QL pisses me off not because its not quake1 but because they changed the values of damage from Quake3; it's like NerfQuake.
i'll play on the remaining CPMA servers if I want to play Q3!

I remember u4-silent by name, played him a few times. As to servers, bleh, can't remember any by name, I only played DM. DM6 was the best 1v1 level. Kind of nostalgic to find the Thresh videos in YouTube. I played quake from 97 (actually earlier, started playing on some membership site before hit up free net quake) to 2004ish. All Midwest/east coast servers. I was in knights and cvj, never serious..

I never liked the mod that took over in the end of my quake days, you took no self damage, that's what ended quake for me.

A couple of other people im sure that you know that still play. There's a DM email list going around not too many DM'ers check this website from my understanding. Leave your email or PM me it and ill add you to the email list.

Sent my email, tho my quake days may be done. My 13 inch MacBook is my primary comp now.

It may be sacrilegious here, but I was looking for old schoolers to get some ps3 action happening.
