If you ask me, time travel has always been an interesting subject...

the whole concept of time travel is hard to get your mind around. how is the future affected by what you do when you go to the past, and vice versa.

another interesting note is that time is based on movement. we started telling time with the sun, which the earth revolves around. so, the future dosent exist because nothing has moved yet.

on the other hand, the past to us, is the present to those who dwell in that period. so, how does that work out.

I think that the concept of time travel is more difficult than the concept of computer programming.

Huh? I didn't really understand that part. I thought that the earth was moving. Can you clarify your statements?

To be honest, I don't know how that will work out.

I leave you with something interesting to think about:

The speed of light is not equal to infinity. The speed of light is equal to 3.00*10^8 m/s. (If you want to convert that quantity into an empirical value, by all means, be my guest.) Anyways, in the future, human beings will invent something that will travel faster than the speed of light. This will allow human beings to "press fast forward" into the future. (I apologize if that was a poor expression.) But how will human beings travel back in time? Now that is extremely complex.

What seems preposterous today will seem trivial 20+ years from the day its originally conceived.

If you told someone from 1980 in the past that soon it will be commonplace for most computers to have several gigabytes or even terrabytes, they would have laughed at you.

with my time-movement theory, ill give you an example. say you fall asleep under a tree in the afternoon, and in this senario nothing ever changes around the area you fell asleep. you wake up, and nothing has changed at all. if you did'nt have a watch, you would not know how long you slept, because nothing around you has changed

I can go back in time with nothing but an airplane ticket and once I get "there" I can go into the future with the same.

I don't see how moving faster than light has anything to do with time travel. Sure, you get to your point before the light does but the point was already there (and light will be there too). You aren't going to travel faster than light with a destination of where the earth will be 100 years from now.

Like syluxman2803 said - time is based on movement, the movement of the earth around the sun to be specific, but the time we have created (hours, minutes, etc) would not be effected by slowing down or speeding up the earths rotation. So even if you could speed up the earth or rewind it's movement it will still be NOW().

To travel in time you would need a way to warp time and space and that same warp would have to exist in the period that you intend to visit. That's the only way that makes any sense to me anyway. You have to distort the very fabric of time not the hands of it. Light is a hand of time, just like is evidenced with a sundial.

sure time travel is possible, it only takes me one hour to travel one hour forward in time

you can do it too, just sit on your chair ten seconds, and voila, you'll have traveled 10seconds into the future

                  but seriously, cmon....

you peeps been watching to much scifi movies if you ask me, if you're really starting to discuss time travel
                  .
are you curious about what all there is out there in terms of HD content for quake?

time travel entails that you are not required to wait any amount of time between original time vs the target, past or future.

whats awesome is that in some theory I forget its name, time isn't a never ending line, each possible event in history has a opposite (like in a alternate universe, lincoln wasn't killed at fords theatre) .

If something can happen,it does happen.
NOVA | The Elegant Universe: Series ... this documentary is still awesome to watch.
