  • My Rooted Android

I recently rooted my adroid simply to be able to provide my wife's lappy with internet service by way of tethering. no matter where we are (because my phone has internet service everywhere we go), as long as my celly has internet service, my wife's lappy will also.

After going through this process, lots glancing through forums, lots of trouble shooting, and so on. Point is, i know there is a lot i can do now that i have a rooted android.

    What i have already:
    -The latest SuperUser
    -the Latest ClockWorkMod beta 2
    -BusyBox.

    What I need(possibly want):
This is where I would like help from others

    Thx in advance.

ya, and thanks. i need a good app for increasing my speaker volume on my phone. a lot of times while im working its simply not practical (not to mention safe) wear headphones, so i would like to max out the onboard speaker itself. safely, of course. if anyone knows of a good app i can side-load let me know.

        Again VLC,
        It does 200%
Unless you need the phone volume boosted for calls?
ANDROID does use a version of ALSA. Try installing MixGet. It accesses ALSA instead of the android mixer.

            Download the ReBel ROM!

That's in general! Every android phone should run the ReBel Rom!

Not sure exactly which models it works on but it works great on my Samsung Exhibit ii 4G
            QuakeOne.com
            Quake One Resurrection

            QuakeOne.com/qrack

You should really support the app developers. Titanium backup and a large handfull of other apps are definitely worth the "$0.99" to "$4.99". and you help someone else out.

I've purchased a bunch of aps that I couldn't live without like:
                        Titanium backup pro
                        BIOS archive
                        FPSE PSX Emulator
                        John NES ROM Emulator
                        MouthOFF(Fun)
                        Ttorrent

                        and a few others.

But yea Rev, you should be supporting the devs too man!

Can't lie, I "tried before I buy'd" but an app that's worth having is an app that's worth paying for I think.

It also sucks that you don't get the rebel rom as an option, it's sleek!

There's A LOT of other ROMS out there also.

                        I recommend a CM7(Cyanogen mod) or Peach Sunrise(Samsung?) mainly
Or just install Ubuntu and have a small computer at your finger tips where ever you go (you f'n geek! )

                        P.S I'm a torrent'er also but I use it as a method to "try before I buy".
I started doing this around the time games went to complete shit and became repetitive (2001+)
I'll be damned if I'm going to pay $60 to find out I bought a game with neon girls dancing to defeat monsters.

Let down after let down and money consumed has educated me as a consumer.
Don't give anyone your money until you're 100% happy. Or else you're basically saying "Go ahead and fuck me over and take my money".
