never. Barney isn't dead,just isn't as popular,same as fn Power Rangers.
They all have their 'hey-dey' and then become less popular,but still popular in respects that someone will watch the old episodes or even new incarnations of the old shit.
Like, this Michael Bay reboot of TMNT and the purported support of the original creators for the twisting of the storyline/origins/direction the reboot takes it.
On a side note, one of the guys who did the martial arts/acting under the costume for TMNT:III (I think mikey), I met one of those guys who was under the costumes when I was younger because he got caught taking a piss on the side of I-81 between Wythville and Bristol somewhere, got busted with indecent exposure and had to do community service,which ended up being bring some,not all of the entire turtle getup...hands,feet,shell I think, various weapons and exhibit his skills and sign autographs,etc at the SBRL. That was the most packed I have ever seen a Library in my life,anywhere.
