I am in a hotel in Marion, IL and i tried to connect to a few server's last night as i ping 15 to shmack and 12 to speaknow, (in game) like 10-17ms in cmd to both, but the problem was, I would get disconnected within 20-30 seconds after connecting to the server(s). I even tried quaketx and rage, same crap. Not sure if this hotel's connection is fucked up or not, but i could not stay connected for at the longest, 45 seconds. Oh well i tried to connect > play. Anyone have any suggestion's as to what may have caused this? Thanks

Maybe the hotel has it set up to break long downloads so their bandwidth can support all of the guests high speed surfing needs.
Maybe your IP is changing that fast. (not sure if this even matters but it seems like it would)
My friend lives at The American Can Co. (it's actually a huge condo complex) and he is provided the most elite internet available BUT the ACCC has done something to the connection and certain stuff (sites) are censored and huge downloads aren't allowed. Maybe the hotel you were at has a similar set up.Last edited by MadGypsy; 11-28-2012, 08:33 AM.
