I doubt they intended true horror genre. MAYBE with the 1st one, but it was clear that comedy horror / parody horror was the forte by the time Army of Darkness rolled around.

Well, when watching the trailer for the first time, I got soooooo excited, I'm dying to see it, and I know this time it's gonna be a true horror (I'm hoping this be the next Exorcist!! ), but I just couldn't help laughing during the buzzsaw scenes, 'cause I memorize those scenes from the original movie, that were hillarious, imo.... With Bruce Campbell's crazy face........

Did you guys/gals hear about Michael Bay's new TMNT, which was actually gonna be TANT (This fucking idiot thought he could rip out the Mutant portion and replace it with a credible Alien replacement). CANNED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE aka.... immense backlash killed his project before it even got off the ground rofl.
