How do I install Quake CTF?

I'm trying to setup my modern system to run Quake CTF. I only have the basic 1996 Quake program, which doesn't apparently like Windows Vista. I have seen several posts regarding what do to download, what not to download, etc. Needless to say, it's all a bit confusing since I haven't played quake in 10 years. Can somebody give me a rundown of exactly which programs I need to download and install in order to play Quake CTF online this evening? Thanks!

Also, waht client are you using? I'm not sure what the best client to use with vista, but I would start with glpro.exe first.
