Are there any 1v1 servers that people play on with a wait list for spectators? If not I might try to set up a server for this.

theres duel mode on speaknow.quakeone.net or theres also RA servers.

I could be wrong but I seem to recall that the midair mode on the European servers operated in that duel type mode. Plus of course there are the classic Duels between Peg v Confuzed, Peg v Polarite, Dude vs Anybody on Aerowalk. Compulsive viewing!
