heres quadraptor's interview, now on to snipez...

gamefreak:nice to interview you quad, but, on to your first question; how did you come up with your name?

quadraptor: Well a long time ago I was a big dinosaur fan (well, I still am today), but for a while I was only familiar with the really popular dinosaurs, so my favorite for the longest was the Stegosaurus. Then Jurassic Park came out and I got to see it, and from then on I was obsessed with Velociraptors. I had no idea what I wanted to name myself, so I just went with "Raptor".

Soon after I found out there was already someone on Quake named "Raptor", so I tacked "Quad" at the beginning of the name so it would be a Quake-related name.

QuadRaptor literally means "The Four Raptors", which basically I'm trying to say that when I attack, I will ambush my prey and try to attack from all sides. It's supposed to be a name to be feared....kinda....haha.

gamefreak:is it true that you think of yourself as a cyborg? and why?

quadraptor: Actually, before Quake 2 came out, QuadRaptor was just a normal quake player. When I got into Q2, I was scrolling through the different skins trying to find someone that I imagined he would look like. Then I noticed the cyborg section, and thought the second cyborg looked a lot like him, just with metal and stuff on, so I decided that Quad would become a cyborg.

In my original story, he was badly wounded upon landing on Stroggos, so his fellow marines quickly repaired him and turned him into a cyborg. My final explaination for how he became one is that he was captured and tortured by the Stroggs, but that he was rescued and THEN turned into a cyborg.

gamefreak:if you think of yourself as a cyborg, why is your name quadraptor?

quadraptor: I didn't have any other ideas for a name, so I just stuck with the original name I created so many years ago.

gamefreak: do you think you could take on someone like tical or monster?

quadraptor: Tical, probably not. He's got a lot of experience with CA and is a tough opponent. I have a hard time avoiding his lightning gun.

Monster, I may be able to fare pretty well against, but I haven't played against him in a long time so I'm not sure how the game would turn out.

gamefreak:if you could have 1 thing in the whole world...what would it be?

quadraptor: Ooh tough choice....there are so many things to choose from, so I'll just type in the first thing that comes to mind.

Well, something I've always wanted was a '95 Chevy Camero. That's always been my dream car.

gamefreak:is it true you like goats?

quadraptor: Sure do. How I got into goats is an interesting story, too.

One of my hobbies when I was younger was to collect things. I loved to go to thrift stores and see what kinds of things people didn't want that I could buy for a dollar or two - everything from pins to toys, and especially cassette tapes (how I got into a lot of the bands I listen to now). So one day, maybe 4-5 years or so ago, I decided to check a thrift store out called the Waterfront Rescue Mission. So I walked in and went to the back of the store where they kept the toys. At first I didn't see anything, so as I was about to walk away, one of the store workers came out with a handful of plush animals and started to put them on the shelf. One of the plush animals caught my attention, and as the worker walked away, I went over and picked up the plush.

It was a brown goat with a khaki face and underbelly, and for some reason I thought he was the coolest thing I had ever seen. So I bought him and took him home. I found a few spots where his stitching was coming off, and so I sewed him back together, and gave him a name....Victor (after the goat from the cartoon "Ed, Edd, 'n Eddy")

Ever since that day, I've been obsessed with goats. I'm not sure what I like about them the most, but I think meeting Victor really changed my life. I think one thing that contributes is that I really like "unpopular" animals.

gamefreak:when did you first start playing quake quad?

quadraptor: It was real close when the game came out, probably '97 or '98.

gamefreak: did anything really make you want to start playing?

quadraptor: Actually, a close friend of my brother's put the game on our computer while he helped us hook it up. I wasn't too good at the game at the time but I loved to play.

gamefreak:first things first, are you canadian, and if your not, why did you pick that name?

Of course I'm Canadian. I reside in British Columbia and have been living in Vancouver most of my life. I travel a lot in Europe as well. If I wasn't Canadian, I'd still name myself Canadian because CANADIANS RULE!

gamefreak:what compelled you to start playing quake, and what year was this?

I started playing quake when it came out. My bro's friend got it and let us try it out. The graphics were astounding then but I was really compelled by the sounds. A bit later I got myself a copy of Quake and played LAN games at many locations. I went to a few servers but wasn't very interested in having PING. I'm in SNS right now for a reason, I started Quake in 96.

gamefreak:many players(like quad) say your annoying...why?

Losers dislike cool people. I'll be the first to admit that I really don't care for anyone I don't know in person. I speak my mind a lot and my sense of humour is maxed out. Anyone who has a lower sense of humour than me will think I'm being a jerk. As for MANY players, I think it's just you and Quad. I find You annoying as well so we're all a big happy family. "Hey Sniper can you train me?" "Hey sniper you're my master" "I'm 12 and proud bitches!"

gamefreak:what made you join the SNS clan?

I've always been one to never want to be in a clan. I've been in a gang but not a virtual life clan. Concept seemed so stupid to me. But if the game was to get more interesting being in a clan, I'd join. That's where Clan War comes in. I wanted to have a clan war against TU but looks like that went to shit. I might ditch the clan is nothing interesting is ever going to happen. If so, I'll give R00k (phenom) a month's notice

gamefreak:how come you can always be sighted playing fvf with gunter....very late at night...?

Gunter was the first quaker I talked too when I got back into the Quake game a few years back. He has a great sense of humour and is fun to chill with. He's probably one of the few people I actually care about in Quake. Without Gunter, Quake would be dull.

I'd also like to state that this is more your opinion on where I reside most. I also go to RA, CA, CRMOD and CAx as much as I visit FvF

gamefreak:what made you start playing at fvf so much?

It wasn't RuneQuake and I didn't know about CRMOD or CA at that time Nuff said.

gamefreak:final question...are you ever going to be an American*Sniper?

Americans are alright but there's so many things going to shit in that country. Canadian*Sniper is just the name I chose to wear when I got back into the quake game like I said above. Before I think I stuck with the default name. I also went under the name "Janitor". I'm very proud of my country and if there's anywhere I'd like to take a vacation, it's down EAST to Europe. Canada > America. Canada is THEE PLACE TO BEE

yeah, i guess. In runequake, I am known as the "asshole botter". LOL. Most quakers do know me or have seen me at least once.

gamefreak:where did you come up with the name "monster"?

gamefreakid you EVER used to be sucky at quake?
Hell yeah, when I had dial-up I was always sucky. I never could win a game in any mod. I was really ultra sucky when I used to play at ca.mtown.com and I was like 9 or something. I just used to hide and screw around.

gamefreak:since your harry potter, can you do magic?!
WTF!!?! IM NOT HARRY POTTER. I Own Harry Potter.

gamefreak:what made you start playing quake and when?
My dad borrowed quake from some guy he knew at IBM when I was 5, installed it and I played through the wholse original single player levels like 200000000000 times. I can go through each of the quake levels in my head. Then when I was like 7 or 8 I got both of the expansion packs, played through them many times. I alwasy used to mess around with the CTF mode in dissoultion of eternity, pretending that there were players... THen I learned about bots.... The first one I ever got was BGbot(which was a piece of shit) and I was amazed. It was so fun shooting another player. Then I upgraded to REAPER, then OMICRON. One day, I asked my dad how to play quake online with other real people, and he said "you have to look up some servers"... So that's what I did and I found Ca.mtown.com.... It was an amazing experience actually talking and playing online with real people, when I was around 9 years old.

gamefreak:if you could add 1 animal to play as a monster in quake, what would it be?Hmm... Tough one. I guess something quick and ferocious, like a wolf.... I can;t really think of a really good one now.

gamefreak:your a 1-on-1'er right?
Well not really, I do like 1on1's though. I'm more of an RA'er I think. Its my strongest mod other than runequake. I don't like DM 1on1's though. I hate getting owned with the respawning weapons. Heh.
