One guy came to the server, and after about 5 mins of owning him, he said "gay runes" and left. I was trying to look for a command to turn them off, but couldn't find one. Shouldn't there be one, so the game can be adjusted to pure DM'ers only?

Dunno what happened but just now there was a game going on with 4 on the server and C*S was there - he says "I'm done" and suddely the server crashes. lol.

UH ... bullshit. Some dillweed whines because Monster owns him -- Monster is going to own anyone not named Tical on any server, any day and it ain't gonna matter what you vote, Monster is still gonna to destroy you.

DM+ is not going to have any vote options except map --- period. If someone shows up a DM+ plus server excited to play DM+, it is gonna be DM+ running at the server.

If you want to play pure DM, it will not be at a DM+ server. You can do that an OFQSP server whichs runs CRMOD in cheat-free mode on custom maps and it's in the full server browser.

We aren't going to be accomodating fools that aren't smart enough to know such servers already exist --- sorry.

Are you ever there when Phenom plays against Monster in CA? First Monster bends down for Tical, now Baker bends down for Monster?!

I think I said something like that. But I didn't leave cause of the runes. It was just pissing me off that you always had quad+strength. Just like in CTF, you always have the quad. My dad kicked me off the comp because I was playing quake too much... He claims that it rots out my brain.

And canadian, phenom gives me a good challenge, he beats me sometimes, and i beat him sometimes. We usually get close matches. I know that I can beat him almost hands down in RA, but CA is a different story.

Some players aren't familiar with where the quad is on some of these maps, I had trouble at first.

We made the Quad respawn 2 to 4 minutes (random) to de-emphasize the Quad otherwise Solecord would have constantly had Quad as pure DM has Quad respawns every minute and so the Quad is constantly camped.

I have a question for baker, or whoever controls the monster names that appear beside you in post ranking.

Is chthon the highest rank?? Canadian has 1600 posts almost and has been chthon forever... Just wondering.

Although Baker never acknowledged me, I'm very sure the highest rank is Shuggy and whomever has the most posts gets it (sort of like the leader). Since Baker has the most posts, he has it but it's overwritten with the customized Administrator rank.

But, he does have a good point. The idea behind this server is that it is FFA DM + wall jumping, weakened classic runes, and custom maps. And we didn't include a vote for runes so that the server had consistent rules and gameplay.

Not true. Sometimes when I am there and it is just me and another player, I'd prefer it to be vanilla DM especially if the map is Aerowalk or UltraV.

However, in that event -- I and the other player could just hop on wi1.suroot.com:26001 and do cheat-free 1 on 1 in CRMOD as servers already exist with great custom maps for vanilla DM.

Yes, a player expecting to play this exciting new mod would be disappointed if he connected and the server was not running DM+ but vanilla DM.

There are other great servers for those that thirst for some vanilla DM on great maps like UltraV, Aerowalk, Skull, Schloss, ztndm3 and Q1Edge (click this if vanilla DM on custom maps is what you like).

If a player wants to play that, they should round up players on an appropriate server as OFQSP has 9 of them (click Servers at top of page for full server listing), not show up at a DM+ server and then whine because he wants vanilla DM and showed up at a non-vanilla DM server.
