Well, importing a picture into a Quake map is no problem. The problem is the colors. Since Quake only uses 256 colors, the quality of the image drops dramatically. To demonstrate, here is how the quad pussy looks converted to Quake's colors:



As you can see, its a white and gray mess with a little blue splattered in there. Although editing the color is possible, it can have questionable results, and it does take awhile.

On the plus side, if the image is colored correctly, your pictures would make great castle portraits in a Quake map. I might use them if I have your permission of course

Hmmm, you call it messy but I have to say I sort of like it in the grey tones.
You have permission to (ab)use the QuadPussy. I still have it somewhere.
But certainly you will have to write my favourite line "quad is for girls" on the wall too. Or just QuadPussy, hahaha. Says enough too.
And for other drawings/paintings, well I think I asked most people when I sold works if they could be used when a book would come out with my works in it and so far nobody had any problem with that, so I can't see problems for them being in quakemaps as well. BUT... I am a bit ..grrrr english... whats the word I'm looking for. Careful? Supspicious? No idea, but I am a bit afraid(?) for the change of colours. So I would like to see what you want to do with it if you don't mind.

ORL and buurvrow.... a good team. ORL is the best active map maker in my opinion and buur is clearly the best quake artist. yay! i cant wait
