Yeah, the site where I found that has alot of cool renderings... another shambler inspiration:

I think the Shambler is best tackled with the following considerations;
-it's furry, but not a mammal and may not even have a skeleton
-It has no face, or possibly head nor even neck- just a pair of jaws from its shoulders
-As such- no eyes, no ears, no nose, but may still smell and hear and maybe even see using alien organs or supernatural senses (being electric it could sense the electricity of living creatures)
-It has no hands- but webbed, symmetrical paws (or even flippers?) with three clawed fingers
-It has no toes- maybe claws or hoof-claws in some way
-It's arms and legs only coincidentally bend similar to the way ours do- it may or may not have a single set of knees and elbows like us.
It comes from underground- lives in caves and the dark earth. You would basically expect to see it stalking the dark tunnels of the under-earth.

By the way- the Ranger model kinda reminds of my surprise that Q3A didn't include a Quake Grunt skin
