  • quake is spreading into real life!

I woke up to this view outside my front window this morning (05.45) and grabbed for my axe and shotgun, which were nowhere to be seen so I grabbed my camera instead!

I promise its not a photoshop edit (what then would be the point?)

Got me thinking of a good Idea for a thread; stuff from real-life that has just totally fell out of quake!

eg. this (ouch) yes thats a real scan from a very silly builder...

Some appropriately evil looking buttress work coming right up!

    Google Maps

More Q3A though, but impressive enough all the same.

      LOOL, very nice expression osjclatchford.
I laughed out really loud, as I read it

This scenario is really scary !
Hope you dont live somewhere near a lava-pool, do you ?
      Chton is about to come...

      Best wishes,
      Seven

alas no marmalade pools to be seen around chigwell, LOL! however, believe it or not, there was someone walking their rottweiler elsewhere across the field as I took that shot, (obviously too dark to get a shot of, and that would be a bit weird anyway; taking photos of neighbours and their pets at half five in the morning tends to raise scary suspicions!) it came running across the field barking and I couldn't belive it! then I saw the owner come round the tree-line and relaxed a little when I realised he wasn't toting a shotgun and therfore not a grunt, deciding to go in and have more coffee before some scrags came out of the tree-tops or a shambler jogged past or something!
        talk about freak-out morning...

Ive got to cut down on my quake, and coffee for that matter!

I don't think Chthon would be too much of a problem. He can't move, so he's fairly harmless.

He's also not the sharpest tool in the shed, if you get my meaning. He lives in a house designed to kill him. What's up with that?

                I can imagine it now...

architect- 'so these pylons we're installing will take electricity from the lightning above and power all of your household utlities'

ch'thon- 'so free electricity... whats the catch?'

architect- 'oh nothing really, just the off chance that if these two buttons either side of your lavabath are pressed then the pylons will drop down where they discharge violently when the central button is pressed, but who would do that?'

                ch'thon-
                'isn't that kind of dangerous?'

                architect-
'oh no, not at all, it would take three times the elctricity from a fully charged pylon to impose any real danger...'

                ch'ton-
                'oh, ok then, go ahead'

                workman-
'oy! where do you want this rune of earthmagic?'

arcitect- 'can you put it opposite this tube that leads to a teleporter with the megahealth and lift behind it?'

ch'thon- 'hang on what do I want all that stuff for?'

arcitect- 'oh just in the unlikely event of an emergency, like if you slipped in the bath and went under, the emergency services can teleport in and a bridge will extend to allow easier access to both the teleporter, megahealth and the lightning rod controls...'

                ch'thon-
'oh ok then, just send the bill to shub-niggurath, I'm going to have a nice dip in the lavabath for now...'

That's one of the best things I've read all day.
