Using MegaUpload makes me want to not watch your video at all since I have to wait a significant amount of time dew to me reaching my limit with a single download out of 6.

I want an easier method of viewing these videos and I want it now!

This is the problem i have with quake related materials. I, like you phenom, want to watch this video but i dread having to download 6 links. Same thing when Seven posts stuff at 4Shared. I am grateful for all of the quake1 content but it is SCATTERED across the internet and always at free places that limit downloads, etc.

I wish we could donate to QuakeOne and up the bandwidth available. That way Quakeone could take over hosting a lot of this content. Places to upload Mods, clients, skins, Paks, MDLs, Sounds, Demos, Pictures, Movies, Maps, Anything quake related.

Other than that, someone stepping up and providing a site, something similar to Spirit's quaddicted site but more than just maps, like i said, EVERYTHING!

If nothing developes in the next few months i might just do it.

Thanks QUAKESDA, sorry to hjiack this thread but i will watch the videos!

        I'm on download 2 of 6 now..

I might combined the videos and just upload it to my domain for downloading. I think its important for this video to be watched but the accessibility to the video is ridicules.

Seems the downloads are also timing out once I'm able to painstakingly download them one at a time :/ I'm trying tho.

Well it seems I can't download the HQ video, my download times out immediately. I'm definitely wanting to watch the video but I'm not going to spend 3 days working at it.

I'd be willing to work with you on your Quake Content project Disco if it comes to that! I agree with what you've said, Quakeone.com's file section (while effective to a point) doesn't pool enough of the media available for Quake. Also the file section is an amazingly difficult piece of equipment to maneuver thru and get the right info.

Things need to be simplified, Games today are very simple to setup and still maintain an amazing amount of customization but doesn't require this.

What I think would be awesome was if there was a Quake engine that could to and download DEMO files and display them in game (if Qrack's download feature met its demo feature met DP's server list). This way people wouldn't need to even leave the game to download demos, they wouldn't have to download insane file sizes from free conky half-assed hosting services and it would only benefit Quake's appeal.

Well... While writing all this my download for Qd100Qst_x264_1080p_30fps.z02 hasn't budged from 0% complete so I'm calling this myth busted. Maybe I'll try downloading part2 later today.

I also can't watch part 1 until all 6 files are downloaded (chunked up zipped files). So I'll have to download all 6, extract them all and they will create a single movie files (my part 2 download just crapped.).

        I'm sad now.

What a shame, I like this stuff normally. Unfortunately I dont have time at present to sift through what looks like 6 seperate files of anything up to a Gig each and join them together but if someone would kind enough to point me to a link to a single file I'll be happy to put it on the QuakeVoid channel and post back here for all to share.

          Kind regards

I've failed to download part2 on over 5 different tries. You also can't download more then one file at a time.

Excellent idea. This way Quake video makers can take the demo and make spiffy videos out of this type of stuff!

That's how it was done back in the days when the first QDQ Parts came out. Well, i t was a .pak file (i think) but way more bandwith friendly. I remember i downloaded that stuff at 64k speed...

Okay, so first of all let me tell you that I'm sorry about your troubles. Megaupload seemed to have more friendly options compared to other file sharing sites.

Please understand that it's _not_ that easy and simple to find a free site which has large bandwidth and lets you upload an over 5 gigs file. I'v spent the past 1 month by capturing all this stuff, and the past 1 week by uploading the files one by one, in order to be able to release it just before Christmas.

Originally the demos inside a pak would've been released (they are included together with the movie though), but I wanted to create a whole movie for the larger community's viewing pleasure.

I beg your pardon, but I also ask you to be a little more patient. I just released the movie today so it's not only you who are downloading at the moment.

Monty did you add my video to your quake movies under your quakevoid account?

A .torrent file will be available soon. Until then, you can still download the demos from here:
