MindzX's "LIVE" NetQuake Video's !

I'm going to start recording NetQuake sessions as I play LIVE using various Quake1 clients and Fraps. I *could* record a demo, but thats making me deal with another extra step. My first upload is a 2 Player COOP session, featuring bta�monster and myself !

We are playing the "Shambler Army" map titled "Yes, Castle Wolfenstein deserves it !"

It's been awhile since I bothered doing something like this,so naturally, I dont expect this first one to be snazzy, but I'm going to expect myself to add something new and progress the quality with each upload

YES, I'm going to start flooding YouTube with my "Quake Sessions" , as of right now it has no direction other than I'm ready to get started!

Baker, it runs like you wouldn't believe. I suffer no performance drop (whatever my capture rate is,is what frames per second in Quake I will get. First movie was set to 60 frames a second, next time I'm going to capture at 100fps.)

Yeah maybe if we get enough Quake videos out there, people will start noticing the game more. Could possibly bring in some more players.

FRAPS and Quake captures pretty solidly for me as well... Steady 60. Then again Mindz and I have leet gaming PCs Really fun watching these recorded videos...

Yea,I definately would like to start promoting. I need to think of some really popular "tags" so the Quake video's gets the most exposure as possible.

Naturally, QuakeOne.com will be needing a permanent PLUG on our youtube account's and in the video's. I have seen others uploading video's,thats what rekindled a desire to get creative making video's, and having a super leet pc definately makes the process super easy. I remember waiting 30+minutes waiting on transcoding alone,and that video started out at 900mb , and after compressed it was only 45mb,and it took less than 30 seconds,and thats with monitor 2 playing a video. HEH, so I was limited to working on this video without the aid of sound (EEK,I hope the music in the video is good.I really do,rofl)

I've heard that tags are what really gets you views if you do it right... I'm a total youtube noob though . I'll probably make some more videos sometime soon of different mods and whatnot. Yeah encoding relies on processor more than anything else... Wish I had a Phenom II x6 1090T just for that alone Right now I've only got a Phenom II x2 550 overclocked to 3.72ghz. The extra cores make a huge difference with video related things.

Precisely what I was thinking. I want to target GAMERS abroad,so if anyone has suggestions for tag's that could start reeling in fresh players, plz do suggest them!!

It might be better to have your Quake set up to automatically record demos of everything, so you never miss anything. Recording demos isn't going to screw your performance nearly as much as using fraps all the time (or fill up your hard disk space).

Raw fraps videos can fill up your shit FAST. Even a minute-long video can be gigabytes in size

That's because even blu-ray is compresed. A fresh Fraps video is in a totally raw and uncompressed format.

I'm testing some new softwares out on a CTF video release featuring Qrack right now,and im working with 16gb of raw video I captured observing WarZone being played, and then myself playing on Elder.
