hi guys, i was thinkin here about a Slipgate Ranger Armor Port for skyrim, but i didn't find yet a good high poly version his armor with pants like this one
Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.
So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...
Double wow. This is another good reason to get drunk with friends in this snowy saturday evening.
PS Baker, what's about that math discussion? I'm home now, I've got Wolfram Mathematica system and I'll try to help you if something is still not clear.
ADDED: damn, I've just seen the date - that topic is 3 years old and model is not done yet. And it could never be released.
Well, that picture is amazing. If someone made a statue of Ranger (the Quake Marine), it would look like that... The statue would be worth a million dollars.

this one was used on Arenas Series made by Director Goss, i was looking for a High poly model of his Armor, unfortunatelly no one did'nt mae yet, and i don't have 3ds or maya to do the job, plus i hate blender

I think I've got all that covered now. I sort of upscaled to understand the subject at hand and have a few trig books sitting around. Somwhere. I don't need them any more. That kind of happens when you passionately pursue some knowledge interest.

He did release it. I just couldn't think of the right Google combination to yield the thread where he did so. If I recall correctly some Q2 modder paid him $500 to finish the project so he did and did some post @ Inside3D giving some info about that. [But I could't find it on a whim.]

Its my recollection that the other party did not pony up, and thus electros model was never released. That may very well be why you couldnt find the thread. because it does not exist.
Correct me if you can, I'd like to see otherwise.
I know I am splitting hairs here cause there is no doubt that that model is awesome, but I have noticed that a lot of models just mirror through the x axis and that is it. In other words (as an example) all the pants wrinkles on the right leg are identical to the left...actually all of the left is identical to the right in every way.
Games like God of War try to disguise this by doing "fancy" things with the texture. Such as the red markings drawn across Kratos body in an uncentered and unmirrored way. The above model would be even better if all the stuff that should be mirrored was done first and then apply the mirror & bring it into z-brush (or something) for the finer details - purposely NOT making both sides identical. Like the wrinkles in the pants/elbows, vein patterns, maybe a little non-symmetrical damage to the armor - especially if the damage traveled through the center of the model.
I still think that model is beast. IMO it seems with as much time and love that must have been put into it, it is almost a shame to leave it perfectly symmetrical, when breaking the symmetry would bring it to life.

I wonder if it isn't textured because marking the seams to unwrap it would have taken the rest of his life. (lol) You know that thing has to be about a quarter million polygons.

Apparently you put on the armor when you are much smaller and grow into it, cause if it fits there is no way to get it on or off. Could you imagine being stuck in that armor every second of the rest of your life? Imagine if the armor got severely crushed. You'd be all crushed up inside of it with no way to get it off. Actually even though it looks pretty cool, the overall "uniform" is ridiculous. From the waist up he is a Knight from the future and from the waist down he is a motocross racer wearing his knee-pads on his thighs - lol.
