Stroyent - Doom and Quake inspired metal

Hey, guys

This is a recording-project I founded last year. It's atmospheric melodic death metal inspired by doom and quake. Unfortunately it is still in a very early phase. However I already have some stuff I can show you.

good stuff man..kinda generic though. (like death metal lesson 2 from a learn death metal training CD). It all sounds good and like it belongs together though. I give you 3 out of 5 stars.

Maybe some arpeggiated melodies would give it it's own identity. Mess around with some hungarian minor scales. Which is just a harmonic minor with an augmented 4 and 7.

has anybody ever taken the original quake soundtrack and edited it and/or realeased a new version?

As far as I know... unfortunately not.
I think there are several Sonic Mayem covers from the Quake II Soundtrack but the originals are better..
