    Does anyone know of a good Quake II source port that supports widescreen resolution with vanilla graphics (exception with AA and AF) and music?

      I'm sorry, I thought I was in the other games section of the forums which means it's not Quake 1. Have a nice day and thanks for answering!

        I was saying not many people are gonna know much about Quake II. DirectQ II is the only engine I know about thats I feel worth mentioning.

        It IS Quakeone.com , I bet Quake II players are a far and few here.

          I have a total of 5hrs game time on Quake 2 whats your question!?

          Seriously Quake 2 ruined everything for me, Quake 3 didn't help and Quake 4 proved to me Id Software didn't care about it's initial Quake fan-base.

          I won't even comment on Quake:ET (Enemy Territory).

          I haven't seen very many Quake 2 posts here at all now that I think of it.

          Maybe you can find some hardcore Quake 2 players who can help but like Mindz said, this is primarily Quake 1 if you're dealing with anything like Source/mods/help.

          I feel the "other games" section of the forums is simply to talk about other games and not so much for modding them. You may find more/better help on a forum dedicated to Quake 2.

            I'm not sure about the widescreen resolution part, but you might try Yamagi Q2, DirectQ2 or FTEQW.

            I like Quake 2, and Quake 4 and ETQW as well.

              Vanilla graphics are achievable with ANY of the Source ports available today, as far as I know. The best source port of today, imo, is [email protected], you may ignore the "relight" and any other links other than the engine itself (at the bottom of the page) Berserker HAS music support. Other ports worth to take a look at (even if it's not super-duper graphics that you're looking for) are Knightmare & Q2Evolved, although the latter is quite outdated....

              Hope this helps...

                  @Space Cadet
                  Try Berserker Quake 2 or Quake2 Evolved or Quake 2 XP and that will get you an HD experience you will like.

                  regards

                        Everything is said. You may try what I and gdiddy suggested. DirectQ II is the best anyway, if you need vanilla graphics...
