yeah xonotic is a mix of q3a and unreal tourny 2004, imo. i played it for a while and it is one of the best free arena shooters out there.

It's almost a bit too similar to Q3 for my taste. Why should I prefer Xonotic over, say, QuakeLive? It's a rhetorical question of course.

The game as a whole has a high amount of polish to it. Really great models(player/weapons/items) and texturing. Some nice shader effect also.

As far as playing... weapons are to weak for my tastes. Same as Unreal's used to be. Other than that seems fine. Those portals are really cool effect to.

So R00k educate me a little about it I'm busy but very interested cause Shotmania is a real competitor to Q1 it's about same thing but they got the $ but now with X0N0 it feels good.

I guess (see i don't check so far) this is a Q3 Egine... I wish it was a Q1 mod!
