I might have to track down a rogue copy of Vice City now to be honest, time to pester my friends on facebook to see if anybody has a spare pal ps2 copy, pc copy or steam key xD

But I'm agreeing with Syluxman, the GTA:VC ost was fantastic.

Oh, and Sylux, check out Kavinsky's OutRun (really good album, synthpop 80s vibes all over). It'll be on youtube.

IV selling point was the graphics, not the gameplay. sad, really.

Shame the engine was rather boring to control.

You must have never figured out how to do these things in GTA:IV
                RocketJump
                Columbian drive-bys
                Copter blade volting
Just about any NRG900 jump/stunt other then placed stunt jumps

I've played every single GTA game in existence and have owned the special edition of GTA:IV which came with the safety deposit box, I've also pre-ordered GTA:VC and curently have GTA:V reserved since May/June.

GTA:IV was boring side-quest wise and did basically only had it's graphics and a few smart gimmicks to set it apart from the other games. But I feel GTA:IV did something for the GTA series that helped it out a lot.

GTA:IV set a standard on what the next GTA game should NOT be and I felt Rock* created GTA:IV as a stepping stone to GTA:V. They obviously could have put MUCH less effort into the "buddy system" or "dating system" in GTA:IV and put that focus towards making GTA:IV a lot more like GTA:V, or at least as much like it as possible with their current vision back then.

I believe Rock* fully knew what they were going to be doing with GTA:V by the time they finished with GTA:IV, and GTA:IV was their "Let's not go all out right now" game, which I'm glad they didn't make GTA:IV with GTA:SA manners, it would have just been an ugly copy of Saints Row and it's wacky-ness.

Rock* is about bringing something new to the table and keeping their integrity well in check, which makes them "cool by me", it means whenever I see a Rock* logo on something I can know what to expect game quality wise out of a game since I have yet to see Rock* show any signs of game quality deterioration.

I liked GTA:IV for what it was and I'm happy it was made to usher in and solidify things like multi-player and Endorphin physics.

So far I would have to say GTA:IV is my favorite GTA game just dew to how Rock* designed it. Sure GTA:SA had all the fun things but GTA:IV pushed graphical boundaries which is also needed.

I honestly think the game would be funner if we could save anytime rather than complete a whole level without dying.
I am like a stray dog, lost in between what I do and what I should do.

                    Phenom;
I wasn't saying it wasn't fun to mess around in, I'm referencing how buggy and unplayable it could be.

Then you went on a whole wave of points unrelated.

I could also go on and lay down my thoughts of Rockstar, being that I've been playing their games for a long time as well. But being that I think Red Dead Revolver and Vice City are more fun than their entire game library combined (with the exception of Max Payne, I'm sure I'd just upset people).

Because both of those games were buggy and annoying beyond belief.

Oh, to those who don't know, Red Dead Redemption is a loose sequel to Red Dead Revolver, from what I know, they don't really have anything to do with each other directly.

inb4 I get hate mail because I didn't enjoy certain games as much as most people did, or because people think I'm implying I don't enjoy their games
