helo fellow quakers,

have anybody of you here played dear esther? i did. yesterday. must say it was the strangest experience in a long time. it's one of those games that some love and others hate. i belong to the first group. i'm not saying i understand the story completely, but that doesn't matter at all. i spent yesterday's evening going through the various explanations of it until i realised i didn't agree with them. i've come to my own interpretation i'm perfectly satisfied with.
-
what to say about gameplay... it's very simple. you walk, you listen, you observe. that's it. no interaction. you can stay on the hill admiring the view; listening gentle piano. you can walk down to the see pondering the meaning of the cryptic sings painted on the rocks. you can stay in the most beautiful caves i've ever seen in any computer game.
-
what about you? have you visited that strange island?
